This page is back up
https://www.gibson.com/Guitar/USACYC512/Les-Paul-Junior-Tribute-DC-Bass#SKU-BAJDT00B2CH1

And there's now 7 basses listed on the main basses page, inluding the JR DC:
https://www.gibson.com/Guitars/Bass

Also noticed: 2 of those are "SG Standard" and "SG Standard 2019" which appear to be identical, maybe the pages are still in flux.

And the T-bird is now shown with chrome bridge.

And they're in stock at all the major online retailers today, e.g. American Musical.

CME has them in stock too but not with chrome pickup covers as Mark had said.

ZZ sounds is also showing them in stock, four colours, but the stock seems to be running low already...

zzounds, American Musical and Same Day Music all share the same inventory.

L&M has them in stock up here in The Great White North.  C$1299.

I'm out due to life changes but maybe eventually.

They are inspired by Japanese ebay sellers?

The difference is that they actually own the inventory they're selling.  :)

Anyway, zzounds et al are already out of three of the four finishes. Sweetwater had nine total on their site yesterday morning, down to four this morning. MF/GC et al still show all four finishes in stock but they are much bigger and probably ordered much more. I'm predicting success.

GC has some inventory online but sadly none in local stores. I really want to try one out!
Basses: Gibson lpb-1, Gibson dc jr tribute, Greco thunderbird, Danelectro dc, Ibanez blazer.  Amps: genz benz shuttle 6.0, EA CXL110, EA CXL112, Spark 40.  Guitars: Danelectro 59XT, rebuilt cheap LP copy

What is this "BassBucker" pickup?  It looks like a TB+, but I know that's just a plastic casing, so anything could be under there.  I assume it's not oatmeal.

Check the beginning of this thread. Apparently it's a TB+ with splittable coils.

Ah, thanks.

I actually emailed the guitar center nearest my work (NYC union square) and got a quick reply:

QuoteI'm reaching out to let you know that we do not have any coming to New York at the moment but we are definitely able to order them if you are interested.

Darn. I'm certainly not gonna order a $1k instrument just out of curiosity.

Maybe I'll ask Sam Ash too. Those are the only NYC Gibson dealers listed on Gibson's website.

I checked with local Gibson dealer Twin Town Guitars. They have it on order but no idea when. They don't have any of the models released this week yet. None of the Guitar Centers here have it in stock.

New sound clip from CME 2 days ago on Instagram. Video didn't work for me in Firefox but did in two other browsers.

NAMM video from The Bass Channel, posted in a previous thread.

Nice, Dave.  I passed that Instagram link on to that TalkBass thread.
