THE COVERSALE /// 'ERE'S SOMETHING MORE CEREBRAL FOR YOU ...
« on: February 15, 2019, 11:34:56 AM »
Do I detect traces of self-irony?  :)

Also instructive for the other Dave (W): See, that is how a Dr. Feelgood audience did not look like!  ;D

Fire, desire, much, touch, need, guranteed ... my, Herr Coverdale needs a Thesaurus, he's been doing the same rhymes for 40 years now.

Wot, no "luv'" with "tough" this time?

And he doesn't live in California. He lives in friggin' Lake Tahoe and drives an SUV, that Jag couldn't move even a few yards in the winters they have there.  ;D

An official music video? Hardly representative of a live audience. You could just as well hire a group of left-handed lesbian midget albino Eskimos to be your audience and claim they were your fan base.

Tale of a fake band with a fake fan base going on a "tour" with empty venues.

Does Mr. Coverdale not know you shouldn't leave your head lights on when you park your car?
I had expected the video would end with a drained car battery and all those curly women would have to push his car out of that back street alley.

By the way, this must be the first Whitesnake song that does not feature a guitar solo. Wow, how contemporary!

Huh? It features even two solos! First the Night Ranger guy before DC even sings, then in the middle Reb Beach with his Vai impersonation.

You're right. Guess I was distracted by the carwash girls?

Nice Ric there.

Nice Ric there.

Something which I think might have been more noticeable had it not been for the car wash-girls distraction.  I kept wondering if someone was going to make a Tawny Kitaen-like appearance on the video.  They did get pretty close.  But maybe it's time for new ideas for videos.

The groom could have done worse. Coverdale's marriages - if sequential over the decades - were largely stable, at least the first (Julia, about 10 years) and the last/third/current one (Cindy, more than 20 years by now). Only Tawny lasted a mere two years or so in between, I guess she was cut out for lots of things, but not a lasting marriage.

Actually, the women and girls in that new vid mostly don't look like models at all, but more like "girl-next-door-on-a-night-out"-types. No 80ies glam queens, freshly hatched from a ZZ Top or Whitesnake vid. That is actually one of the few redeeming qualities of that vid and I bet it wasn't an accident, but a conscious move. Or maybe Cindy was adamant!  ;)

I also noticed the video had the girl-next-door look to it.  It would be interesting to know the back story behind that video.

If more girls next door looked that good, all the neighbors would be happier.

There is nothing in a man like good taste ...

... and David unfortunately has nothing like good taste.  :-[

Ouch. A DP site called it a "a valhalla of decadence".

David is meanwhile an American citizen, but not being born as one, he can't become President though his interior design (if you want to call it that) tastes are not too far away from a certain incumbent's ones.

I think if I was Cindy Coverdale, I'd want to leave this behind too.  :)

None of the pictures look real to me. To me it seems as if they're all computer renderings. Especially the wood looks fake.
