Such coincidence, Dave! 😘 Nice little melody at 01:26 too. 🤩

We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...

NOT Rick Derringer NOR Suzi Quatro, but unsettling close.

The Aldo Nova song sounds a lot like "Jane" by Jefferson Starship.
Contrary to what James Bond says, a good Gibson should be stirred, not shaken.

When I was in Detroit in 1982 that song was all over the airwaves and he was hailed as the next big thing. His debut album from which it stemmed went double platinum, but success waned quickly with the follow up albums. He's a successful producer now.

The other song you couldn't escape was the incredibly short & catchy Breakup Song by Greg Kihn.

Can't believe that you missed the opportunity to mention the Deep Purple link, being Joe Satriani. ;D

Duh, I had no idea that Joe ever played with Greg!  8)

He was pivotal for Purple getting a new lease of life after Ritchie, they saw light at the end of the tunnel. I did see him play live with them. And while his dense playing felt unaccustomed at the time (Ritchie leaves a lot of space live, also because he is a lazy/quickly bored rhythm guitarist), there was a lightning-fast arpeggio extravaganza by Joe in Knocking At Your back Door (@05:30) that was real cool. Sure, it was show-off, but it also sounded great.

Huey Smith's original

Huey was in one of his retirements at this point.

His parody of his own hit.

Oh, so that is him in the DP cartoon vid, I hadn't realized that. Nice of them.

Stone me, but I think she's cool:

And extremely variable:

(And against all the social media naysayers: Joker - Folie à Deux was a heart-wrenchingly beautiful movie that left me hugely impressed.)

I also like her "Italian-migrant-family-girl-next-door"-look - that beautiful Hollywood-untampered Roman nose and all.  8)

I really dig that Abracadabra tune. Very creative.
