Ive done some research on these and it appears as though there are many versions of this guitar....im trying to pinpoint exactly what era, model and year...can you elaborate on these? Ive emailed TD on this....I've heard he's the resident expert? Any thoughts?

Basvarken

Yes, Thornton Davis owns several Klira violin basses.
And Scott Dasson (Godofthunder) also has one.
Maybe they can help you out?

I think it's a Twen Star 162, no later than '65. TD would know for sure.

IIRC Scott has two Twen Star 356s.

Thornton Davis

You're correct Dave, It's a Twen Star 162(!) from 1965. Bruce has been in touch with me and I've provided him with lots of information of the bass.

Please keep your eyes open for my stolen 1973 Burgundyglo Rickenbacker 4001 Serial # MD1582. It was stolen in November of 2006. Reward for its return. Thx!

You're going to end up with more of these than you have Thunderbirds at this rate...
