About two hours after Dave's last post, Dave noticed that John Falstrom had posted a John Falstrom video to the Gibson bass guitars group on FB. Dave was not surprised. Dave was amused, not bothered.

Everybody run over right now and read the thread on short scale vs long scale. The OP is confused as to what the difference is, beyond the obvious. The responses couldn't be more obvious.

They really go gung-ho on the requesting membership thing.  What a pain in the ass.  If you're not a member, they'll find a way to make you suffer for it.  Just minutes ago, I had to go through the jumping through the hoops trying to find info on a singer I was getting interested in.  Finally, I decided it really wasn't worth it.

Dave doesn't want to look at the posts there. Dave would rather be amused from afar.

On the contrary, I find that conservative/moral authority types enjoy C&C; it reinforces their belief system with the lazy, useless, depraved bum, stoner stereotype.

The French citizens took hold of the "reigns."

The Long Ranger took hold of the "reins."

O literacy, where is thy sting?

Now I only have to work out whether the "Long Ranger" in our literat's post and the more commonly known "Lone Ranger" are somehow related.  :rimshot:

"Long Ranger" sounds kinda male porn star'ish to me ...
