Gorgeous, I really love your work! :)

I'm a fan of the Explorer shape, this is just stunning!

ilan

I love it that you're using a zero fret.

Congrats on completing another stunner.
Contrary to what James Bond says, a good Gibson should be stirred, not shaken.

Nice color, awesome job as usual. I guess your customer really likes that bridge pickup sound...
Black plastik is fantastik

Basvarken

The colour is impossible to catch on camera. I tried different angles, different locations, different cameras.
Not one comes close to the real thing.

In real life it is much more vibrant. More teal/turqouise.

And yes, Apparently Duane likes the sound of a bridge pickup. ;-)
But I think he just wanted something different. He owns so many 12-string bass guitars. It's good to have the option to choose a different sound when you need it.

I need your helps guys!

The EXB-4-SA was delivered two days ago.
But somehow the truss rod  got damaged. My customer asked his guitar tech to adjust the truss rod. And the tech said it doesn't do anything. The spokewheel turns freely in the slot. It must have snapped at the screw thread.

Here are two pics of the building process to show you how the spokewheel sits in the slot:

Is there any of you guys who knows a good luthier in/near Houston Texas who could fix this?
- The fretboard has to be removed (using a hot iron)
- A new truss rod has to be installed. Possibly the slot has to be modified to accommodate the new truss rod.
- Maybe a new fretboard has to be made. If the original fretboard doesn't come off without damage.
- The neck has to be refinished with clear lacquer to make the seam between neck and fretboard smooth again.

On TalkBass, Bruce Johnson is who I'd go to - I've been reading his threads for years.

Basvarken

Yeah, Bruce has responded on my post @ TalkBass.
He no longer does repairs
