I like that!  Nice balance between bright and deep.  Sounds very good.

This is a very cool bass. It sounds the business too.

The only thing I would change would be the pickguard. I would stick a 5-screw, un-beveled singly ply white pickguard on there. Like an old 'Whiteguard' Telecaster.

This is a killer look on a Tele.

Basvarken

That looks beautiful.
But I opted for this starting point:

I think I'd have gone with a Tele control plate too

Basvarken

I think there wouldn't have been enough Thunderbird left, if I'd done that.

I agree.

I agree too. I think it's pickguard or control plate and not both on this body.

The latest Brooks bass build is almost finished. I still have to do some details, but here are some snapshots that I made this afternoon.

Wow, great design again. The Ric/ Epi Embassy inspired combo shape of the body is really nice. I think you hit well in your aim at something uniqye, also Lace pickups are'nt used that often for example. Good work once again Rob!

Dave W

Beautiful work as always, Rob. I'd love to hear a sound clip.

THAT IS A BEAUT! How is the lace pup?

Thank you guys.
I am impressed with the Lace Alumitone humbuckers.
They're dead silent. And the highs are chrystal clear while the lows are tight and deep.

The wiring hasn't been soldered yet. I've only wired it directly to the jack output.
Will post a short video when it's fully functioning.

The fretboard inlays expanding and contracting are a nice touch. Congrats on another fine build.
