Ibanez RB920 on eBay... opinion needed

I love the design and have been wanting one for years. But at $1,281 this one is way overpriced, right? I had $600-700 in mind.

Great bass. I had one around '86 ..... my second bass acquisition as I recall. I think Ibanez' answer to the Musicman at the time. That price seems to be about $600 - $700 too high to me, given the condition. The big selling feature IMO is that it's a bound sunburst which is the rarer model and should fetch a bit more than its solid color equivalent. YMMV.

Way too high, IMHO. There seem to be a lot of collectable basses and guitars from Japan being offered at about twice the typical value. Must be collectors trying to recoup their investments. OTOH, you don't see one like this come up often. It's rare enough that someone might bite at that price.
