When I play it, the entire body resonates with the notes - I don't think the final finish coat 'muffled" it or interfered with the sound.

Definitely a fun bass...and MY bass, more than any other I own.  I'm having fun with it and it may improve my practice habits.

And I was about to ask how that finish influences the sound......... :P :P :P
