Headstock doodles - thoughts?

I really like my current inline shape, but I sometimes think it's a little inconspicuous on bodies with more mass to them.

The bottle-opener isn't going anywhere...this may just be another option.

With that in mind, I'm doodling around with the basic top and tip profile and adding a lower fin to replace the hook.

What do you think?

Like it.
I think headstock design is far more difficult than bodies.

Agreed re difficulty... first thing that popped in for me was reminiscent of a manatee...?
The random mind of a Silver Surfer...
If research was easy, it wouldn't need doing...
Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

My favorite so far is the "Llama" headstock.

I get "Beluga Whale" and "Bottle Opener" on my others, so I'm OK with "Llama".

;)

The more I look at them, the happier I get.

I think they would fit nicely anywhere in here:

I like your current shape with the rounded end better than your new doodles. Also I think the current size of the headstock is just fine regardless of body size.

I like the new design for bass, but somehow not as much on guitar.  Maybe the bigger tuners on bass make it look more balanced to me?

I really appreciate the feedback...still thinking through the details on this.

Thanks!
