I bought the book last year when I stopped into Carters Vintage Guitars in Nashville, But I haven't taken the time to red it yet....................  :o

Clearly, somebody (or bodies) at Gibson clamped down on the story. It sounds like the person the Prof spoke with was monumentally clumsy in her handling of the conversation too. No one there seems to have a clue about public relations.

Unfortunately this seems to follow the patterns of behavior from Gibson that I have heard about via this forum.

I had read about the book before, didn't we discuss it here? The reason I posted this story was to note the way Gibson allegedly fumbled this.

Granny Gremlin

That's no fumble; it's a yellow flag.

Darn, you mean Gibson doesn't empower wimmin luthiers like equal opportunity employer Dean does?

Seriously, there is nothing about Henry J one can be surprised about these days. Rasonable behavior excepted.

Now you've upset Henry!

 I was thinking of an earlier posting of those pics when I read this:

QuoteThomas told us a Gibson executive spoke "glowingly in front of the crowd and on camera" about the Kalamazoo Gals and Thomas' work uncovering this "unique part of history."

I bet those "luthiers" know how to make a neck straight.
Don't be stupid, be a smartie - come and join die schwarze Hardware party!

Didn't I read somewhere that Dean was going to stop using the Dean Girls?
