Clearly, somebody (or bodies) at Gibson clamped down on the story. It sounds like the person the Prof spoke with was monumentally clumsy in her handling of the conversation too. No one there seems to have a clue about public relations.

Unfortunately this seems to follow the patterns of behavior from Gibson that I have heard about via this forum.

I had read about the book before, didn't we discuss it here? The reason I posted this story was to note the way Gibson allegedly fumbled this.

Thomas told us a Gibson executive spoke "glowingly in front of the crowd and on camera" about the Kalamazoo Gals and Thomas' work uncovering this "unique part of history."
