I see these from time to time - to my eye, they are among the coolest-looking of all basses...a wonderful period piece.  Love the pickguard, and the Kelvinator headstock piece really tops it off.

Seller seems to have misplaced a decimal point.

I agree! Coolness does not justify that price.

If this bass was a woman, she would have a huge butt, a very thin waiste, the neck of a giraffe and an enormous-sized head. Oh, and her clothes would be completely scratched! :D

It's just a Dano shorthorn doublecut, slightly offset with a whimsical pickguard and oversize headstock.  Cool enough (Yeah, I dig it), but for 4K I'd want 4-5 of them (does it even have an adjustable truss rod?).

Nice to see you back here!

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beer holder.  ;)

For 4K I'd want 5-6 of them plus a $2000 rebate.

That's as may be, but the cool factor far exceeds any Dano I've seen...and some of them are pretty nice.

Yeah, agreed; it does look cooler than a Dano for sure... but it's still a Kay with no truss rod and the shittiest bridge I've ever seen . A very nice movie/video prop.  A prize for a completist collector for whom Teiscos are just too damn high end.

I'm just joking, I really like the pickguard shape and how it "sits" on that kinda 335-ish body. But I still think it could use a smaller headstock!

Now that just rocked eloquence!
