Anybody tried one?  I like the look ... (yes I know, everybody hates the black-plastic-MM-shape-P-pickup)

I like the look - especially of the mock split-coil! Très hot!!!

So do I. The look of a regular Fender split coil leaves a lot to be desired (IMHO) no matter how good the sound.

This looks much better to me, although it seems like we're in the minority here.

It kind of reminds me of the EB4L pickup actually.
Basses: Gibson lpb-1, Gibson dc jr tribute, Greco thunderbird, Danelectro dc, Ibanez blazer.  Amps: genz benz shuttle 6.0, EA CXL110, EA CXL112, Spark 40.  Guitars: Danelectro 59XT, rebuilt cheap LP copy

Or the wide range humbucker of the second edition Fender Tele Bass.

I'd like to see it with alternating blade polepieces in the "unused space" like they use on the guitar pickups. Bet it would have have a killer tone, too.
