Beautiful yes but I am skeptical about the finish. Note the blotching on the back plus it doesn't look much like Gibson's cherry finish. my 2cents.

Kevbo had one a while back and it looked much darker.

It looks clean and I've heard the dealer is reputable. But I agree that the photos don't look like Gibson cherry.

Pretty, but the starting price is even high for a II. Where's the serial number?

YIKES!  But, considering the market, and the fact that Gibson addicts like us drool over those, he'll probably get it.  Further proof that Gibson really should do a RI on these, and also proof that our BaCHBirds are going to be very special.  If the seller is reputable, as stated, then he knows all of this going in.  At least it's not being sold by Tune-o-Matic.

Anything's possible, but when I sold my IV last year, I discussed what I should ask with Kebo and he gave me a few scenarios, the low being a likely fast sale price and the high being what someone who wanted that exact bass might be willing to pay to get it. A buyer who fit that description found me and paid about $100 more than what Kebo thought I'd get on the high end. That was about what the starting price for this one is and mine was a IV, which fetch more.

I'll tell you what though, if I had the four grand Kebo wants for the one he's got up now, I'd have bought it immediately!

I'm beginning to consider myself lucky for having bought my four sixties TBs at a time when I already considererd them heftily priced, but a bargain by today's standards. And that was only a few years ago. :o

Also the wear on the pickguard doesn't match the finish.
