Chevy has a metallic lime green for the Camaro that makes me salivate every time I see it.  LOVE that color.  It would make a faaaaaabulous bass or guitar color, too.

Green!?  Damned if that doesn't look "purple" to me  ;D

I suggest an eye exam immediately!

Of course, I seldom recognize the color purple in any case.

For the record, Firemist Gold wasn't available in 78' and hadn't been offered since 72' at that point. The colors from Fender were Sunburst, Tobacco burst, Antigua burst, white, black, blond, natural, walnut and wine red. The only solid finishes then besides Antigua were black and white. Maybe there were some other cool automotive colors in 78' too? Why didn't Fender and Gibson keep using auto finishes after the fifties?
Contrary to what James Bond says, a good Gibson should be stirred, not shaken.
