Ha, Willies... what a cool guitar store, they had stuff there that I only ever had seen pix of.  I used to love going there when I lived in St Paul. Then I got the Hofner (that I've since had to sell). I took it there to see if they knew anything about it (they didn't) and while they had it, I grenaded an amp that cost more than the car I have... the Hofner was butchered with a set of Bartolini active pups, and about 17 feet of wire. as soon as I plugged it in  it made this gigantic air raid siren noise and blew all the speakers out of what I plugged it into (this was at least 10 years ago now, all I remember of the amp was that it was black, and was the only one with a cord attatched.. :o The counter guy told me to "leave before I had to pay for the amp" and since I had no $, I booked it outta there. I wonder if they still remember me now? Like a "Wanted" poster or something ;D
There was another cool store in Minneapolis that had cool gear like the Embassies, but of course they had never seen a Hofner like mine. either. I didn't break anything while I was there though.
If it was good enough for Danny Bonaduce, it ought to be good enough for fake bass players everywhere!

It wasn't you or your bass. The amp was just waiting to go and you just happened to be to the poor guy who was there for it.

Have you share pics of it with us yet?  Inquiring minds want to know.

Yeah, I posted up pics a few years ago.

Hey, you did some potential customer a great service by helping blow that thing up before someone bought it.
