From where I sit, with my Southern Comfort Manhattan in hand, the best damn bases built are made in Florida and New York by Carlo and me!  Screw the Indonesians!  Sorry, it's the booze talking officer!!!

We're talking about mass production here. If the Indonesians were building custom basses one at a time, they wouldn't retail for $199.

You can't compare the Indo basses to the Gretsch products point by point.  But, I digress.  Time for a drink!

Amen!  Use the port, if you have one!  Ooops, never mind, you can't taste it that way, duh!   8)

I didn't do a port and I paid for it!  Way too many holes in my arms after all of those weeks.  Won't do that again.

no ports as the chemo is every 3 weeks for 2 days and then usually 2 days of hydration a few days later.   For that time my arms kinda look nasty but recovered pretty good for the 2 off weeks.
throat  radiation is another story all together...... Most places just automatically do feeding tubes but sloane doesn't unless they have to as they believe chewing and swallowing will atrophy quickly and cause more problems post recovery.   and i am stubborn italian that loves food so I am fighting the fight with food each day.
Lots of small meals seem to be tolerale so far.

I need to taste the bourbon.  every last drop and then some.... and lots of it.......

I hear ya Jim.  The chemo wasn't too bad at all, but the radiation did get to me the 5th. and 6th. weeks.  Hang in there!

You could always dip your finger in a glass and just rub a little round your gums, or maybe just breathe the fumes a little...

You could always use the money "saved" on something "special" as a treat once it's done, Jim...

my treat list is going to be spectacular.....   been thinging about that a lot lately.   favorite foods,  that old I always wanted one bass, or  amp and whatever else.  will take some time to accomplish then all but i will get there.

My first of many favorite foods involves a short trip down to New Orleans for some BBQ shrimp  at a place called Mister B's  in the french quarter which is really whole cooked shrimp in a bisquey spicey creamy type of sauce that comes with 2 loaves of bread just for dipping... and then as many oysters as one can consume at Acme and Felix.....

The rest of my favorite meals usually involve some foreign travel so they will take longer  although some great pizza from Brooklyn right now would be awesome....

time to go eat some milk soaked cereal.....

thanks all

That's a nice positive outlook, which is the best possible thing at this stage...
