When I was first reading about them I didn't like the idea of a flat top, but now that I have one it is a complete non-factor, in fact I think its unique.

I agree.  I like the flat top.  Simple and clean looking.  In the end, sound and playability are key!  Enjoy!

Cool bass and I agree that I like the flat top, it gives it a more modern update and another reason to be unique to itself.
