 I took this beats to rehearsal last night and boy does it kick ass, that Dimarzio pickup is staying put! I have to move the strap button to the heel of the neck, I can't get used to the way it hang /sits, very difficult to get to the upper register. It had been a long time since I played a bass with a Dimarzio P pup in it. I had remembered them being a bit woofy but not this thing, it cuts right through with big brass balls, very lively lots of harmonics! The band really liked it to.

Thats a score.  First dibs if you ever want to part with it.   My first Fender  was a 71 with the RW neck and tort but I remember one of my students getting that exact bass and i always really liked the look of the black PG with the maple and brighter sound it produced.   His bass developed neck issues but obviously that one is still rockin after 40 years.  ENJOY
