I had been thinking about selling my TH-2 because I like my older TH-1 much better. I'd had the pots replaced with CTS pots and that helped a lot but I just couldn't fall in love with it like I did my black TH-1. So, in an effort to try something new and not make any rash decisions, I took off the rounds (some of which had broken strands!) and put on LaBella flats.

It is a TOTALLY different bass now! Much "woodier" sounding than it did with rounds and a lot closer to the TH-1 than before. It's still more difficult to play than the TH-1 because of the thick body, length and the thicker neck  but it's a lot nicer now.

Guess I'll hold onto it unless another Th-1 pops up. Might have to make a choice then!

Excellent choice. Labella Deep Talkin' flats are my string of choice.  I like the light gauge .043-.104 760FL set.

And they last practically forever.
