Black pickup and pickguard. And no one could think of doing that when they made the black JC? I took the pickguard off because the yellow looks cheap and nasty against the black body, and the pickup would go too if there was an easy, drop-in replacement.

What would be the chances of selling a silverburst Epi JC with yellow pickup and pickguard and getting my money back?  ??? ???

I know what will happen if I use that, with my luck. Either a bee will stick to it, or it'll never dry.

The Silveburst JCS on the Messe looked very good, but it had the cream coloured pickup...

When Gibson cane out with silverburst Les Pauls (guitars) in the '70s I loved the looks of them (not crazy about the green color they turned into over time though). But I haven't seen any other shapes that look good with it to me. Thunderbirds, nope. Explorers, nope. The JCS looks pretty good though.

I really liked how the silverbursts "greened". But I remember a bandmate who sold his beloved LP after it happened heartbroken, totally devastated. He could never get himself to play iit again. Ironically, the buyer wanted it because it had "greened" and he even got a good price for it.

I've not seen a silverburst in person, but every time I see a photo, my mind interprets it as a black-and-white photo of a yellowburst :)
Gold hardware? Somebody probably tinted the photo :)

I do like my yellowburst LP quite a lot.
