You could get a used Gibson SG Reissue Bass for that price. OTOH the SG isn't a reissue of an EB-3, this one is.

 I have a white long scale Epi EB3, I paid 250 for it with case. I put a 60's mudbucker in it, great bass for the $ and it sounds fantastic. I'll stick with what I have.
