Quotewho buys these?

At those prices, these days, no one.

To be sure, they do - and this one will eventually - trade hands.  But hardly ever at that price, and I doubt any bass player in their right mind would pay that for one with less-than-mint condition. Maybe a vintage guitar collector, but not a bass player.  It is in one piece, but holes, cracked up guard, finish in average condition, etc - there are a lot cleaner Tbirds and they don't cost that much.  Maybe a half dozen years ago it might.  But the vintage guitar world that this is currently travelling in has lots of fantasy prices and reality haggling, trades, baseball cards and vintage cars throw into it, maybe even condos in Vegas and Florida. Fun to look at though.
Model One and Schallers?  Ish.

There are overpriced vintage basses on eBay? I'm shocked!  :o

Never heard the Sticky Fingers album from Mott the Hoople, and I'm a big fan.  Is that a good one?

I'd consider selling mine for 10 large.  Any takers?

That's the lp with Walking With A Brown Sugar Mountain.  By the way, I think Neil Young played a Thunderbird when he played with the Stones.
