I'm very much a Fender guy, but fortunately I'm also cheap.  I like my 2000 MIM Jazz that cost under $300 from Ebay and doesn't have a scratch on it.

I shall not dignify that comeback other than to quote the French lookout in MP and the Holy Grail:  "Oh yaas, it's VERRR' NIZE!"

Remarkable how many shades of deep purple blue there are... ;D

Looks like she's mostly been a wall-hanger - hardly a mark to be seen... I wonder waht reserve has been set...?

You can find out easily. I have done this once years ago, hope it still works. Put a $100,000 max bid, and eBay will set your bid at the seller's reserve price. Then retract your bid and put "entered wrong amount" as the reason for retraction. The current bid will return to the previous amount (below reserve) and you're safe.

If the reserve is more than 12.5K then it's unrealistic. A custom color 64-66 J is not rare. There are quite a few sunburst 65s out there too (relatively speaking). That has kept prices out of the stratosphere.

Great Tip!

It didn't sell. Had 7 bids and ended below reserve, at $10,100.
