Stationary rigs are ok by me, I never move my SVT, 8x10 fridge and 1x15 woofer either, it's not good for them and not good for me. My Markbass cube combo with its 500 watts is loud enough for any stage I might encounter. And takes up less space plus is gentler on my back.

Actually, that things works so well because it doesn't vibrate. Vibration wastes energy. That whole thing is run with 11 watts.

somebody at the old pit had some pricey boutique bass amps that ran on around 10 or 12 watts. wish i could remember the brand name.

My guitar player has two Carr amps. One is 12-15 watts and the other is about 25 and they are real pricey but they sound great.
