Normal working day for me... ;)

Working at a military testing station for the next two days so have fun folks...

Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

The Brits are great sports, they even congratulate their renegade colonies!

Now, in the tradition of General von Steuben (and ignoring Hessian mercenaries for once, hey, they were young and their warlords needed the money!): Happy celebrations, liebe Amerikaner!

Yesterday I fired up the smoker and smoked 20 brats and a nice slab of salmon.  Tonight I'll head to our local park with my family for the fireworks show.  Will take the smoked salmon, some Cougar Gold cheese, crackers and appropriate beverages.  Should be a nice evening - the city provides a concert before the fireworks!

I get some quiet time this AM - So alittle model train building for me  ;D

Later my GF will be here and we'll have some chicken and potato salad, then a short walk to downtown Des Moines to visit a new Scotch Bar and enjoy the City's Fireworks display at the marina.
Happy 4th everyone!
