Just thought of another combining-type band name: Jon Cougar Concentration Camp.

I'm loving it.

when i was in college my roomate had a band called 'thermos greenwood and the colored people'. they all painted themselves different colors. :P they later chaged the name to 'themos greenwood and the shuffleing hungarians'. a bit better. i will add 'jody fosters army' to the list. another local band was the hampton grease band which was col. bruce hampton's first effort of many. a fave oldies band was 'dickie do and the don'ts. ;D

That was really Gerry Granahan, he was under contract to the small label that put out No Chemise, Please so he had to use an alias when he put out Click Clack for Swan.

Anyway, how is it that we've gone this far and no one's mentioned the Butthole Surfers yet?

There is/was a local band called Mighty Sphincter that released a few albums. They played an opening spot for the Butthole Surfers way back when BHS were a new band. We made a lot of ass & fart jokes about that show. We were a LOT younger and easily amused back then.
