Sorry, "Electric Grape" is a sparkly blue color. They work great for bass. I think the wiggly tail section gets 'em all aggravated & they just HAVE to bite the thing. I dig them out of the tackle section at Wal-Mart.
I'm pretty sure they put some sort of smell into them that helps attract fish. They have a very distinctive smell that I don't associate with a typical plastic odor. I've been casting from the bank at this hole. There are a lot of weeds that would be hard to navigate through with my trolling motor. I have never tried them as bait before, but I may attempt to feed some Cicada bugs to the fish since they are going to be so plentiful this year. They're already coming out of the ground here in Missouri. If you find any grubs (cream colored w/brown 'face') while digging for worms in your garden, throw 'em in your worm can and put one on your hook. They are June bug larvae and fish LOVE 'em.
