I have listen to it for a while, great Cd, very solid playing from super musicians. The singer is Ok to me
With Billy & Paul together, whats not to love?

This song reminds me a lot of Rainbow or Deep Purple

My favorite of the LP is Unforgiven, for some reason picture Rob & Superfloor doing this.

I'd been reading about this.  It's nice to hear something from it.  I hope they don't fire Billy Sheehan again.

I have the new CD on order.

I always liked Paul Gilbert & his music, found him a brilliant player, but a rather generic / clone sounding one.  I could never distinguish his playing from other guitarists, where Sheehan you know it's him after a few bars. Billy has really built a signiture sound & style like it or not.

The new album is pretty darn good, really play as a unit, very tasteful, only small amounts of wankery, which is what you want & need.

Gilbert has settled down I think, he's not just Racer X anymore. He'll always be a technical guitarist, sure, but Mr Big has room for that. Let's face it: A certain amount of wankery belongs to all forms of hard rock - it was initially young boys' music and young boys like to show off.

I agree that Sheehan has signature written all over his sound and choice of timing as well as his vibrato and bending. And he does look a bit like Charton Heston, don't you think?

Nutty Alien Religion included. Gilbert's solo outings are great fun & very good-not what you would expect-I highly recommend them. Here he is on the LP he made with his Uncle Jimi Kidd.
