Odd timing to say the least. Right before the bands planned retirement tour??

Gulp. I'm shattered. An era ends. My beloved Ken K.! How many times have I stared at this man's bellybutton (it's a nice one, he likes to show it too) and raised my fist and yelled?!

Bellybutton just out of sight due to unfortunately positioned Flying V, shucks ...  :-\

I have tickets for their Munich show which will now be a sadder affair.

"Music heavy enough to stop a Chieftain tank in its tracks!" was a comment I read on Sin after Sin before I even knew who Judas Priest were. It made me buy the album, I listened to it first in a department store via headphones ... Sinner made me cream in my pants, well almost! Bellybutton in plain view at 0.18 ...

Odd timing for sure. There must be a story behind this? Wish him the best. Early Priest (pre British Steel) was cool stuff. And don't get me wrong - there were some post-Steel gems for sure. Obviously Defenders..............

... My beloved Ken...

I... I don't know what to say... I er... I never knew you felt that way...  :o

(Mark, I think he's finally come out of the closet, and I don't even own a kilt... ;D)

I feel emotionally attached to all men called Ken! It's because mum and dad wouldn't let me play with this here!!!

Actually, it's true in a way.

When I still played, no, not with myself, but with these here,

I asked my parents whether they would buy me one of these here (as chance would have it, actually for Easter)

They laughed it off and I never got one. I was seriously disappointed. All the astronauts I knew (saw on TV more like ...) in real life had wives that would wave at or - progress has its victims - mourn for them after another one of Wernher von Braun's fine inventions had accidentally exploded. How could Matt Mason then not be married? I found his bachelor status unrealistic and intolerable. It really spoiled it for me. I was even prepared to accept Barbie's larger scale which would have made her look like The Attack of the 50 Foot Woman in comparison to Matt.

My foundations as a man with steady relationship convictions were laid - pun unintended! - back then.

Being a "Ken" in London in the sixties was a troubling time; Barbie is only three months older than me... :o

Check out ebay for Major Matt - it's never too late to satisfy an urge... ;)

I remember Matt Mason from my childhood! Haven't thought about those figures in years.
