Here!  ;D

Keep in mind that this is not just for an Esquire, it could also be used in your vintage Precision.  8)

I don't think I can buy that without some extra 50's solder. Using new solder would ruin it right?

chromium

I wouldn't go within ten feet of that old cap without this in hand:

Installing it using my Hakko soldering station would surely devalue it!

Even so, it won't sound the same without vintage electrons. I thought everyone knew that modern electrons are more negative and less mellow.

Barklessdog

If he can find someone stupid enough to buy it, more power to him!

ramone57

that is a bargain compared to this

his prices are a little crazy, but maybe that's just me.  somebody must be buying this stuff.

Pilgrim

That cap sold for $349!!

There's one born every minute, yessir.....  :-\

No, it was just relisted. Better hurry and snap it up before somebody else does.  ;)

Here's one I haven't seen before: 1957 Strap

Because vintage cows have more resonance.

Ever see the bumble bee caps that sell for big bucks on ebay? I'm redoing a ham radio right now and have clipped out about 25 of them, they all leak DC and ruin the circuitry. I probably have 20 more to go.

Jeez, I'd be rich if I hadn't have clipped them right at the body, I actually have some of this same value along with many .01 uf ;D

Dave W

Somebody would probably pay at least something for 'em, even leaky and without leads.

i usually try to take the high road when i run across crap like this , but sometimes the road is hard to find so i just have to drop them a little note. ;)
