Music in a JUGular vein...?
The random mind of a Silver Surfer...
If research was easy, it wouldn't need doing...
Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

My prayers have been answered. I can't tell you how long I've been waiting for someone to come up with a way to boost goat milk production and in my heart I always knew it would be the genius of Mariah Carey that would come to the rescue. I can't wait to see what Jennifer Lopez does. ;)

She brought those goats gla(n)d tidings. But then isn't she undergoing mammary gland development (in the good, old-fashioned, natural way) currently too?

Her sense of dress is deplorable, but I credit her with forging a style of singing that whilst it has been overdone (she is to singing girls what EvH is to guitar playing boys), has proved hugely influential - I hear a lot of her breathy falsetto mannerisms in contemporary music (not only American Idol and the like) sung by women, for me even alternative stars such as Alanis Morisette owe quite a bit to her. And I've heard from quite a few chick singers that they rate her for her voice if not for her music. And unlike Whitney's, he voice is still there.

Plus, she does not only sing better than Jenny from the Block, she is also a better actress:

I find her much more ornamental than listenable.  IMO her constant and inappropriate verbal trills and runs have been more a pollutant than a benefit to popular music.

But the visuals ain't bad.

Bah, humbug.
