Damn cool bass! Wish I had the extra cash!
Cool that the seller has sold nearly 10k items & still has a 100% rating.

There is no law in physics that implies that tone wood should sound better than plastic. Think Ovation, Steinberger, even Yo Yo Ma has played a carbon fiber cello for President Obama's inauguration (and he owns a Strad cello).

yo yo ma only played that carbon fiber cello because it was raining that day and he was outside. i have heard cf double basses, cellos and abgs. to my ears they sound harsh and lifeless. physics may not dictate what a good tone 'wood' is but it ain't this. in your heart of hearts would you rather play your wooden upright or one of these composite jobs.

Yes, I love the look of my bass but I did replace my Knoll pernambuco bow with a better bow that happens to be made from carbon fiber.

I didn't mean that Yo Yo Ma preferred the CF cello over his Strad. It's just that I don't think he will play under any circumstances a bad instrument.

And a Steinberger, to my ears, does not sound inferior or inherently different from good quality wooden body basses.

Some people just like to dog others.

One of my fav bassplayers is Phil Kennemore. He's got one of these clear basses.
Chicks dig it! ;)

Saw someone else great playin' one recently but can't remember who.

if doggin' someone is stating a contrary opinion then guilty as charged.

I've played a few lucite guitars and basses, didn't like the sound of any of them.

No reason in theory that a synthetic material can't sound good. It doesn't necessarily work out that way though.
