This is an idea. I sometimes think about mounting a finger rest. But in a way it can be removed easily. I hear the 4005 sounds best when played around the middle position.

Glue it. Your 4005 won't devalue when you do so. (Mine would.  )

With those pole pieces you might be able to hold it over the strings while you're playing it - in a horseshoe manner. After all it's a Ric.
