Dig this - one of my favorite all-time bands, Paul Revere and the Raiders - on Hullabaloo, hosted by the Righteous Brothers...with one of the Raiders' really great cuts. I can whistle this one for hours.

Fang on the Vox Phantom bass, and dig the double-neck guitar...if you freeze the feed at 29 seconds, looks like a double-neck Mosrite!

Faaaabulous go-go dancers - man, this is the whole package!  I get a big grin from watching it.

Great clip!

Most people don't realize it since they seem forgotten today, but they were huge from about 1965-67. I remember them as regulars on Where The Action Is.

one of the album cover pics where they are sitting on a front porch of a brick house was taken in Joplin, Mo at Dan Leary's house on 15th street. i was crazy about Kathy Leary at the time.

Oh, they were a fun band - with lots of whistleable tunes.
"Him or Me.." has stuck with me since childhood (a long time ago)

I recently put a whole bunch of their tunes (Essential Album, Greatest Hits, etc..) on my iPod - great memories.

Nice find on the vid!

Great song but the lyrics are hopeless paternalistic crap  :puke:

I remember watching their TV show as a kid where they would pull up in a hot rod stage coach.

Revere and the Raiders have long been one of my favorite bands.  Their song "The Legend of Paul Revere" is a nice tongue-in-cheek autobiographical sketch ("In a little town in Idaho, way back in '61....a man was flipping burgers, gee it seemed like lots of fun...")

They rocked pretty darn well.  I saw Revere and his night club version of the Raiders about 10 years ago in Tahoe - they were a kick in the butt, had a lot of fun and sounded great!

They still tour the casinos.
