Favre emerged from a plane in Minnesota on Tuesday, with the expectation that he will rejoin the Vikings. Three teammates, Jared Allen, Steve Hutchinson and Ryan Longwell, were absent from practice earlier in the day and went to Mississippi to recruit Favre.

But Jim Thome has been the best clutch performer in town this year, and tonight's Twins game is a perfect example.
