Did you see this thread? http://bassoutpost.com/index.php?topic=2664.0 Looks like a couple of guys may have tried it out.

Ah, I missed that thread. Thanks, Dave! Sounds like they received a lukewarm reception to me...

Without a doubt, I think the old school nostalgia Fender thing is the coolest looking stuff out there 8).
Bang for the buck, again without a doubt, I think they are the worst deal out there >:(.
If you did a side by side comparison with anything/everything in the same price range, I have to believe you would come to the same bang for buck conclusion that I did.

Let me put it this way....

I'm a Fender guy - I started with their gear and still have my Blackface Bassman and 1963 P.  I like their amps and the sound.

BUT - for less money than that amp, I bought a Genz-Benz Shuttle 6.0 and a pair of the G-B T12 speakers.  I now have a pair of 12's and 675W on call, and the head and one speaker mount together as a combo that weighs only 36 pounds and kicks out 375W. Add the second speaker (32 pounds) and it's loud city.

For the money? An easy call - sorry, Fender.

If it cost $500-$600 (full retail) it might be worth playing with.
