Gave... them... away...?

Hmm...

(Uwe might consider that after what I did to mine, that would have been kinder... ;D)

Okay NPM... after being brave enough to post that picture, that story requires elaboration, please...

(ps - didn't say welcome, so welcome... they all like a good story here and people giving away not one, not two, but THREE GIBSONS ranks as altruism above and beyond...)

Don't feel too bad.  They weren't worth more than a couple of hundred bucks in the 80s and up to the late 90s.  That pic is priceless though!  I had scads of friends who had those of themselves and their family in the living room or hallway, but nobody had the nads to take one with their guitar or bass.
Model One and Schallers?  Ish.

I paid $300.00 for my first LPT about '92. I thought that was a lot at the time. $200.00 is still a great bass at a Kmart price!

That is a ngreat bass,   mods and all.  they sound sweet.
i won't even discuss some of the stuff i sold for practically nothing in the late 80's.  Ric's,  RD,  1972 fender tele bass,  kramers ........mint 74 SVT head......

mostly to clean out my apartment because my girlfriend (wife now) was moving in and thought the basses hanging on the living room walls didn't look good........She doesn't appreciate works of art.....
