At least that's my excuse

Just scored a minty SG Standard for AUD$1000 (US$900), to go with the SG Faded I bought last year.

Excellent! That'll go well in the updated collection.

I like that excuse!  Nice bass Mark.

That looks like a hell of a good deal, considering Australian prices.

I like the faded look better than the glossy fins, but have taken a solemn vow ...

You can now flip the minibucker on that around so the screws are closer to the neck - it actually does make a difference in sound.

Hey Uwe did also solemnly vow to never sell a bass?

You could always start to upgrade your collection by replacing basses by more desirable ones.
Such as that NOS Victory in the other thread, or in this case a faded sg

BTW: I like the faded onze better too. Loes has a very pretty faded LP jr. If I knew the faded ones would come, I would have waited for one of those instead of buying a normal SG RI.

But selling a bass is like giving your kids away for adoption!!!

There is only two kinds of religions, utter heathendom and Roman Catholicism.

I'm both.

good pickup Mark, and a fair price to go with it. I'm jealous.
