Really excited to see this on ebay, I'm a little obsessed over these basses latley.
Wish i had the money, really pretty bass, never saw one in this finish.

Hopefully, he still has it if you're interested. I don't like the burst myself.

What makes you think these are rare? AFAIK it was a standard finish.

I think that burst is ugly. Looks like an idled painter didn't care about the shapes of the horns: let's just make 'em completely black

That is just so wrong and I am personally offended, by that. It is one of Gibson's classic most beloved finishes. Its a tear jerker.

I love mine and its one of my favorite finishes.

I am so hurt by that. Where's the tear icon?

Dont get me wrong, I love burst finishes! But they have to be executed well.
Not just a big wide black mask over a single color.
The gradient has to be smooth and subtle. With lots of nuances in the colors.

Idk Dave, I only thought they were available in ebony,cherryburst and sometimes trans red.
