QuoteI had to drag her to go, but she marveled at the rainforest world throughout and whispered how beautiful it was.

With very few exceptions the 3D effects are used - dare I say it - tastefully and more to create an image of depth for the rainforest than for sheer surprise (Disney's Christman Carol was much more guilty of that)

To me, that is what made the movie great. It reminded me of seeing Phantasia as a child-engulfed in this fantasy work that was so amazing.

AVATAR has surpassed TITANIC! YES!!! Freakin' COOOOOoool

Cameron has been making documentaries of neon underwater depths & it shows in his gorgeous blacklight alien rainforest.
Glad you & your lady dug it, Uwe!!

The DVD is gonna break records too cuz of the addition of Neytiri's Na'vi nipples & the putting together of their tails in the  extended sex scene. YARRRRrrr

Nipples AND neural connecting?! Sounds like they are gonna call the DVD "Last Tango in Pandora"! Come hither, bluey ...

When I told Edith about RnB's helpful nipple news, she remarked dryly: "I had been wondering how the hell the Na'vi were gonna feed their infants, you know?"

I stopped watching Disney when Walt Disney died.

I stopped watching Disney when I realised they mostly bought other peoples stories and claimed them as their own.

Were you very disappointed when it turned out that Snowwhite & the Seven Dwarfs wasn't an original story?

The random mind of a Silver Surfer...
If research was easy, it wouldn't need doing...
Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

Which  um.. version are talking about here Uwe  ;)

I guess having grown up being read The Brothers Grimm (German), Aesops Fables (Greek) and Hans Christian Andersen (Danish), Roald Dahl (Welsh) George Orwell (British India)  all by a Swedish mother, I found that reading the "Disney-fied" version of some of these stories to my son left them a bit lame and suger coated.
