And if you want to know what GBO could have become if Bond hadn't self-destructed, try Colosseum.

I liked Colosseum & Colosseum II (Gary Moore).

I saw Colosseum again a couple of years ago, with Barbara Thompson in place of DH-S, Clemson on guitar, Chris Farlowe singing. They were still brilliant. Jon Hiseman must have 2 invisible dwarfs helping out with the drumming, there's no way one human does that.

Jon Hiseman is so unrecognized as a drummer.

You're so right. He's also the first rock musician I heard use the F word in public (it wasn't an essential part of the inter-song chat in 1970 like it is now). It was Earls Court in London, during his big solo they put a strobe on him. So he slams the sticks down on the toms, "switch that thing off!". Strobe goes off, Hiseman picks up where he left off. 2 minutes later the strobe's back. Sticks slam down again, "will you switch that F**in' thing off!!" Exit strobe, and he still did a brilliant solo.

Not in Europe. He has a lot of fans here. Germany is still a happy hunting ground for him and his wife musically. He's seen as the elder statesman of busy, jazzy drumming with a rock energy.

Sadly Barbara Thompson has Parkinson's disease, not sure if she's still touring.

They have a shop on eBay  http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/temple-music__W0QQ_armrsZ1
