Yow!

That's John Slog's store.

I don't think the IIs have ever been at the $10K level or above. Still, it seems like a fair price compared to what's been asked recently, although I don't know what has actually sold at those prices.

Met John while I was training in Easton, PA. as a salesman for Smooth-On back in Dec. of 2007. NICE Guy. NICE BASS!!! If I only had the cash.....

Sounds reasonable to me, considering a paper napkin w/Picasso's spit on it would probably sell for 10k.
I have a completely intact 64 t-bird iv. Wonder what that would bring?? (no, it's not for sale. I plan to be buried with it. Not)

Uh, feeling OK?  And, uh, just where in Austin are you going to be buried......

Aha, you funny guy!! I plan to have my ashes dumped off of Antigua or maybe Ushuaia! Long way to go for a rusty relic (the bass-not me)

Well, if you're gonna be cremated with the bird at least strip the non-wood stuff of first ;)  Won't burn good anyway....

Back on topic: I wouldn't buy it if I could afford it. Some issues are the non-original case, the missing finish on the neck, the control cavity. Did the 64's not have the copper sheild, are 2 capacitors correct?

But the main reason I wouldn't buy it is because the headstock has not been broken. If it were mine the head would soon break off sure as shoot.

The paint in the control cavity is not right should be some copper. If I had it I'd hit it, way out of my leauge.
