That's quite the specimen. I wonder how it feels and sounds? I guess by the price that the seller knows what he has, yet he didn't photograph the serial number (wouldn't it be on the bridge on a '53)?

Could be real, but needs a LOT more verification. You want that kind of money, you have it vouched for by an expert.

Sorry... Gotta agree with Dave on this one...

Look at the close-up of the damage and look how clean the wood looks beneath - very "white..."

For something that is supposed to be 56 years old, there is not a bit of discolouration on it (note that I said "it" and not "she") ...
