Huge CT fan and huge Beatles fan, so I had to get the new CT DVD of Sgt. Pepper live. TP plays an old white/yellow T-Bird II for the whole show, sounds awesome. Just an FYI for T-Bird fans.

Sgt. Pepper is art - with or without a Gibson bass. I'm no Beatles nerd, but if I had just one album to explain to an alien what pop/rock music is, this would be it.

CT's Beatles influence is becoming stronger and stronger as they age, their new album is full of it.

I'm currently listening to this in my car stereo:

Interesting, but not my cup of char...

This one was during Mr California's "Hendrix" trip... Noel Redding (Clit McTorious) on Bass, Ed Cassidy (Cass Strangedrums) on drums - both not credited...

Ahh... a nice fresh brew...  ;)

I have to get that DVD ! I wonder if there are any close ups of his Thunderbirds ? My bridges are on most of his birds. Tom even sent me a pick with the Cheap Trick logo on one side and The Beatles on the other.

I thank you for an actual reply to my post.
He only plays one T-bird on the DVD but he plays it on every song. There's a Ric 4001 and a Fender Tele Bass on stands by his amp but he doesn't play them in the video.

If Tom is playing a 4 string it's been pretty rare to see him not playing a Thunderbird over the years. He had a Hofner endorsement of some sort a few years back so I know he had one at some point, and he's had that Tele for a while (and various P basses), but for the most part, it's birds! That's also why those early CT albums sound so great in the bass dept. He used his Thunderbird to good effect on those! Scott, I'd imagine Tom has your bridge on his Embassy as well. I need to look out for recent pictures.  :)
