This is about 70 miles west of Ft. Worth. I'd say "where else but Texas", but these were apparently headed for Asia.

We used to do shots called "snakebites" but they were made with lime juice and Yukon Jack.... ;)

Is that a young rattle snake? Interesting thing with rattlers is that you can drink their poison and it won't harm you (just like it doesn't harm them when they eat their poisoned prey) unless you have an ulcer in which case it gets into your blood system and is not digested harmlessly. Similarly, if a snake has stomach bleeding it will die from its own poison if swallowing it.

I knew of the tequila with worms in it, always thought that was to evidence quality of the alcohol content as the worm would be preserved. And of course eaten by Willem Dafoe in that "Born 4th of July" scene ...

Free the agave worms!  ;D

Agave worms are actually larvae of a moth or butterfly that bores into the plants. From what I've read, they were originally put in the bottles as part of a marketing gimmick, not as evidence of quality.

"Free the agave worms!"

Better not. They're all alcoholics.
