Holy crap, that was weird even by Tiny Tim standards.

If the dire global warming predictions eventually turn out to be accurate, at least we were warned by an expert.  ;)

Ah yes, Tiny Tim.
Somewhere I have mp3s of two of his later ditties, "She Left Me With The Herpes" - and a Christmas offering, "Santa Claus Has Got The AIDS This Year". Tiny never was wrapped too tight...

I think both of those can be found on YouTube. "She Left Me With The Herpes" was almost funny.

Tiny found happiness in his later years with Miss Sue. RIP.

Several thoughts:

1. I'd support global warming if it meant I wouldn't have to see or hear any more of that.
2. I'd like to offer a donation toward counseling for the poor kids subjected to that "performance fart."
3.  I thought it was "She Left Me For the Herpes."     :P
I'm fixin' a hole where the rain gets in..........cuz I'm built for a kilt!

All I remember of him is Laugh In & his song Tip To Through The Tulips.

As far as Global warming goes, they have been saying that since I can remember. Fripp's first solo LP was all about it back in the 80's. remember Peter Gabrial's "Here Comes The Flood"?

We have had the dampest, coldest summer that I can remember here in Chicago. We have had very few days that broke 90 degrees F.

towards the end of his life tiny tim was with a travelling carnival that set up in the parking lot of a local k mart. sad.

I could never understand why he was famous to begin with?

I agree that that's a sad way to go out after the fame he enjoyed, but in all honesty, a traveling carnival seems like a fitting place for Tiny Tim

The traveling carnival was much earlier, like maybe around the late 70s to early 80s when he had fallen out of the national scene. His career revived a bit in the 90s. He had moved to Minnesota and eventually married Miss Sue, he performed around the Twin Cities area and did a few dates elsewhere. I remember all the local publicity about his sold-out show at Lee's in Minneapolis. He had already had one heart attack but kept going, then he had one on stage while singing Tiptoe Through The Tulips at a charity event in Minneapolis. Collapsed and died shortly after leaving the stage. Of course, that's sad too but I do believe he was happier in his last years.

That's the way to go... one of the great Brit comedians, Tommy Cooper ("not lahk that, lahk that!" - you had to be there) dropped dead on stage - everyone thought it was part of the act...

Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

Dick Shawn fell and hit his head on stage during a comedy routine, apparent heart attack, everybody thought it was part of the act at first. And when Redd Foxx had his fatal heart attack on the set of The Royal Family, supposedly the cast and crew thought he was doing his "Elizabeth, I'm coming" bit from Sanford & Son. Guess that's the danger of being a comedian when your time has come.

How about this one? Worth it just to see the ending and the look on Carson's face.

Amazing how the kids were not unsettled by him in that "icecaps are melting" show. Or maybe they were. I found it unsettling!

They did seem calm, but they're probably still in therapy now.
