Uwe made me an offer I could not refuse...  :o

Oh oh... Do you mean he had the electronics you need or is the bass on its way to the fatherland?

I sent a C.A.R.E. package with the scratchplate to the UK. What a younger Ken did to his RD makes the Luftwaffe attacks on Coventry seem like cautious city planning and zoning in hindsight.

Well, I guess we have now seen an Embassy sell for over $3K. :-\

It's madness, I tell you.  Madness!  Time to refin my '64 Newport and get it up there.

Sadly its the same price as a new T-bird here in Oz.  :-[
Digresion our specialty!

$3900! Yow! The slow economy must not be affecting that buyer.

Really nice to see that bass go for (almost!) the kind of money she's worth! If the trend keeps rolling, well then I'll be in financially sound times not before long! javascript:void(0);

I just met the guy who claims to be the one who bought this bass. He's in a Stones tribute band called Beggar's Banquet. We met at a fest, and I didn't get to talk to him much, but he was flippin out over my BaCHbird. Told me he's got like (4) '64 birds, as well as a '67, and more. Trying to find the guy through a web site or something, but no luck. At the fest he had a Vox teardrop bass, and a beautiful, cherry EB-2D.

Tom, take a look here: http://www.geocities.com/thedanzman/1998band.html and you'll find a phone number for a Chicagoland area Beggars Banquet.

No doubt because of all the Marines and CIA personnel around them! Security is key.

Thanks Dave. I'll have to get this guy on board over here.

BTW - "The Dan Z Man" is a trip! He's this old guy that comes to ALL the festivals and happily dances through entire sets of music in his sky blue fisherman's hat and matching blue socks. I'll probably see him Saturday.

I wonder if I know him from my old club days in Chicago.  Find out who else he's played with.
