Early 60's EB Series Bass Mute - New Felt Needed!

Oh, come on.  Snug it up there and let the muffled tones fly once in a while.

Is that "fly" or "flubber"?

I can understand people playing fingerstyle might use the mute but for me it's totally useless. The felt was gone already when I got the EB-3. I still have the mute assembly left on since it's not in the way for proper bridge height. I ripped the rubber mute off the bridge cover (I understand some, not all came with that on Rippers?, Triumphs?) I bought from Graham (Rumblecat) also.
