Looks like Goldick will be spending a long time in prison.

I hope these weren't Jules' South Vietnam EB-2 basses!

I have mixed emotions on this.  If he didn't pull them and sell them via CL, then those instruments would never have seen the light of day.  Usually they get routed through "official channels" when they get tagged for surplus.  That means they go to the US Govt surplus auctions that happen regularly.  You have to be related to Ted Kennedy to know when they are, and how to get in on them.  They wind up in some state rep's brother-in-law's music shop.  Try looking them up sometime.
Model One and Schallers?  Ish.

Somehow that doesn't surprise me at all.

What a shame.

I do wish we could know more about what was stolen/sold, models and makes and years, but I can understand why they wouldn't release that information.

Like eb2, I get mixed emotions from this too. I picture a warehouse full of vintage instruments in great condition, and I think of the ending to "Raiders of the Lost Ark".
Are you real, Frank!?

The people in charge of the "official channels" are allowed to run their little racket. They don't like anyone trying to horn in on their action. That doesn't make this situation right. If this guy did what he's accused of doing, it's still theft.
